We arrived in Hot Springs on a Sunday afternoon and were a little disappointed. Everything was closed. We had a hard time even finding a place to eat. Sunday truly is a "day of rest" in Hot Springs. We were glad to find the little town buzzing when we headed out Monday morning. After much deliberation, we decided to rent a boat and spend the afternoon on Lake Hamilton. Our original plans & budget did not include renting a boat, but there is not a lot to do in Hot Springs and the lake was so tempting!

Are 2 year olds allowed to drive boats?We planned on staying in Hot Springs until Wednesday, but by Tuesday afternoon we were ready to abandon Arkansas. So, we packed up (quickest pack job ever) and got on the road to Atlanta.
