We took Olivia to the mall yesterday after dance class to adopt an angel from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. Guess what? No angels. I wish that we could have gotten gifts for an angel, but I am so glad that all the angels had been taken care of. Instead, we walked around, did some people watching and of course, Liv had to ride in one of the car rides!

Last night we had dinner and a Christmas celebration with our neighbors, the Johnson's. Olivia and Cooper had a great time playing together.
We got a "Diva Dancing Show" and some great artwork for the fridge!

So...what is the story behind "Bye Bye Boppy?" If you have kept up with my blog over the past 10 or so months then you know that we have tried on several occasions to get Olivia to give up her bop (pacifier). We tried getting her a bike. She lasted 4 days and we ended up giving the bop back. I am not sure who was more miserable me or Liv. Then while I was in Dallas taking care of my mom, Adam decided that he could break the habit. He and Olivia wrapped her bop up as a gift to baby Amanda. He didn't even make it 24 hours before he allowed her to unwrap it. Then a few weeks ago, she went about 24 hours and he told her that he would get her a scooter if she continued her "no bop" streak. No such luck. She told him that she would rather him take the scooter back to the store than give up her bop. He got so mad that he put the scooter in the back of his car and told her that he took it back. Several weeks later I came home from work and she was outside on her scooter. He gave in and gave it back. Bop and all. So...how did she break the bop habit? Her bop was rubbing a little blister under lip. Adam kept telling her that the bop was hurting her but she didn't seem to care. Then, out of the blue, he said "That bop is going to rub a hole in your lip." She threw it out her mouth and has not asked for it since. The first night without it, she was a little fussy. I told her to just grab her bop. She looked at me like I was crazy and said "No, it will rub a hole in my mouth!"
We are 4 days in and she has no interest. She has the the bop and carries it around in her little purse or gives it to her baby dolls, but she WILL NOT put it in her mouth. Score! I knew that she would eventually give it up. It had to be a threat of a hole in her lip, but whatever works, right?

A little vanity goes a long ways! hehe. Hey, thanks for buying the shirts. I'll get them in the mail to you. We are trying to raise the money for this trip. Jared has a real passion for missions, but coming up with the expenses to support that passion are a little tough! Thank you so much! Are you coming through OKC for Christmas? We'd love to see you!
